It's a good thing that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because this Halloween seemed to last a full week. I enjoy the excitement of the kids, the fall weather, the decorations. I love it all. Except that sugar thing. Oh so much sugar. Oh, it makes me cringe. Their poor little immune systems. Get over it Mom, right?
We began the festvities with the traditional gut digging of the pumpkins in which Kyndal would NOT participate in. Codey enjoyed it for 3 minutes and then left Dad to do all the work. Mom attempted her first pumpkin seed baking and failed miserably. Good recipe anyone?

Because of the beautiful weather the next day I was confident to get some high dollar studio shots of the kids outside...wrong...this was the best. I couldn't include anymore...awful!

The next day Kyndal had her Halloween Party at Kid's Day Out. She had a beautiful orange ring around her mouth upon return from the orange cupcakes. (Urgh the sugar.)

The next day we had our 5th...really 5th?...annual Halloween Party with our playgroup. (Codey, Ian, Noah, Brant, Grace, Kadence, Josie, Kyndal and Baby Erin as the chick. Missing: Benjamin)

Betsy created a super fun monster game for the kids...how cute, right?

The next day was Codey's party at school. Here is Carson and Codey posing pretty for the photo.

They had a parade and then sang "Five Little Pumpkins" for the parents.

They played Candy Corn Bingo...

By the day the 31st arrived my kids were about OD'd on sugar, but go ahead, bring on some more. For the 3rd year in a row our neighbor has fed us chili so we can check out all the kids' costumes before the Trick or Treat. Here are some sweet 2 year olds....

And here are the crazy older kids attacking adult Spiderman (aka Larry). I wish I had a pic of the whole crew but knew I'd never get 30+ kids in costumes to set still, but take my word for it...there were some cute-ees!

Here is a chunk of them...

Family photo-op...

The girls...

The great thing about this age is that it is new every year. Kyndal quickly mastered the "Tick or Teat" and "Tank You!" She was a sport and stayed out late with the troops!

Although she was content to sit in the wagon the 2nd half of the 'hood and scarf down some Kit Kats. (Ouch...sugar!)

Codey on the other hand was quick on his toes and hard to keep up with. He was proud to tell everyone he "filled his bag all the way to the top."

Love love love Halloween. I dread the day they are "too old" to dress up.
