Wishes of the Heart

We had been looking forward to this weekend for sooooo long. And we were all giddy and jumping up and down when we got there. "We" is this special group of friends that I have known since Codey was 6 days old. Codey and I went to a breastfeeding support group and my post-partum self cried to them the first day about my tiny baby that wouldn't gain weight and was eating through a tube while sucking on my pinky. These girls had their first born in May of '05 too (Sorry, Steph...one in Feb.) and we came together to help each other and seek help. We have been through every milestone, struggle and joy together. It is a group of girls I will treasure forever...forever.
So we came together for a weekend of scrapbooking and just being together for 2 days in this darling little house in Bonner Springs.

We told stories about first kisses, wedding proposals, bad dates, our children...stories that even after 4 years, we haven't had time to share with each other. It was 2 days of uninterrupted playtime. After returning home, Troy said he couldn't believe we could scrapbook for two whole days. But...it really wasn't about the scrapbooking. :)
