Boys vs. Girls

I've always believed it is part nurture, part nature. You know, the way we turn out. Part of it is the way our parents raise us, what we are exposed to, who are friends are. Then there is the other part...the nature...our genes...just the science of our DNA. Having a boy and a girl I've seen the way my kids are similar by the way Troy and I raise them and teach them. I've also seen the differences. Kyndal is definitely a girl and Codey is definitely a boy!!! So the other day while playing in the basement, Kyndal wanted to have a tea party. Codey was game so we set it up on the laundry basket and proceeding with the routine of a tea party...pouring tea, adding sugar, stirring, sipping. The two were enjoying themselves.
Kyndal was very dainty in her manners offering tea, stirring sweetly, quiet and sweet.

Then my creative boyish boy says, "Ok Mom, now let's pretend I'm a dinosaur at the tea party." He growls and then proceeds to make his dinosaur mark on our precious little tea party moment.

Nothing about what we taught him would make him do this. Pure Nature!
