For Codey's birthday he opted to just take a few soccer friends to our new favorite pastime...a Sporting KC game. Great idea. Great weather. Great company. Great venue. Great game.

We tailgated with cupcakes and a good ol' game of soccer!
Of course K had to have her bestie along.
And the celebration is not complete without the g'parents.
Several families opted to make a family day out of it. I couldn't have been happier to have this one along.
Since it was Codey's birthday, they were able to go onto the field during warm-ups...
and sit in the players seats...

The rest of us were able to get in first and get some posh seats...front row with great view of these studs!
We thought we might try to get Codey a player's jersey...no luck, but the kids had a blast holding the signs....
