There are certain things as a parent you have to be proud of: repetitive 100%'s on spelling tests, scoring a goal in soccer, moving up in a reading group, watching your child be nice to another, using good manners. And certain things as a parent you just have to hang your head about: 3rd set of stitches in 6 years of life. :(
Although each offense we were not being careless parents, we just have a son who could afford a bit more caution in his step!!
This time he went up for a layup and his momentum carried him straight into the basketball pole! But the most important thing according to him, "I made the shot!"
Not worth it though.
A pretty rough gash needing 10 stitches. (I think that brings him to a total of 20ish.) Yikes!
He was a trooper. Actually took a nap while they were stitching!
Kyndal hung with the neighbors while we were gone.
Somebody slept by him all night long knowing something wasn't quite right.
And in the morning, good as new!
