May 21, 2010

So, you want it to be all about the birthday kid. I hope he felt that way. I told him the day was up to him....(within reason!) You truly want it to be a day where they feel so extraordinarily special....because he IS!

He woke up to a candled pancake, per his request. Check. He brought a Jayhawk cookie cake to school to share with his friends, per his request. Check.

He enjoyed a McDonald's lunch (without begging Mom), per his request. Check.

AND, he had the baddest Hot Wheel Birthday party with his friends, per his request. Check.

He had a smile on his face the whole day...my payment in return. Thanks buddy!!

(Sorry for the immense amount of pictures...I wish I could include all 100+ because they are all special to me...you know, I'm a mom! Thanks Whit for helping me photograph!)

Running like crazy with buddies Brant and Carson.

Diggin' into his Hot Wheel cupcake...well, eating the icing b/c that is all he does....with his Hot Wheel tattoo!

He wanted Dad at his party. Check. Dads just make everything that much more fun!

Everyone had the chance to be an official Hot Wheels Driver!

God answered my prayers with a beautiful sunny day. Thank you Lord. I had ZERO plans for an indoor Hot Wheels party in my house...yikes!

Dad supplied the fishing gear as Codey requested...but had to work hard to catch a fish.

The kids raced a mean Hot Wheel relay to earn the Hot Wheels glasses and license!

Codey was able to anchor the race for the victory!

Then they had a pit stop to refuel.

While most kids watched Codey open presents....

One of the littlest guests made sure the plates were cleared....

And for the finale, one fish was caught!

Five years of pure joy. I'm honored God gave me him. Completely.
