A couple weeks ago our good friends came to visit and to go the KU vs. Texas Tech. game. Travis is one of Troy's best friends from Texas and Trey is his son. These are the kind of friends you love to have visit. They are comfortable, laid-back and truly here to just enjoy hanging out. I didn't feel the need to scrub the kitchen floors for them!! Anyway, this family is so refreshing (we only wish Melissa and Grant could have joined them.) They made the long drive for a quick weekend. Codey was excited to have a "much older kid" to hang out with. And what a great model for him to spend time with. (Trav and Melissa-could you pass down that handbook you have on creating such a humble, honest and kind kid??? Well done!) He thought Trey was awesome and of course did some silly things to try to impress.
Everytime Troy is with Travis it's like a day hasn't passed since the last time...this is the best. They pick right back up. The dads had a great time sharing a basketball game and the history of basketball with Mr. Naismith himself and Allenfield House. Here is Codey sitting in Collins' locker. How cool!?
