Can you feel it? Can you hear it? Can you smell it? Football season is here!
KU hosted N. Colorado (and slaughtered them by the way) for the first home game of the season. We packed up the car...you would've thought we were leaving town for a week...from top to bottom with the essential tailgate materials, 2 kids, and all that they needed and headed west on I-70 for the game. Our good friends, the McElroys, joined us as well as several of Troy's co-workers.
Upon arrival Troy says, "Codey, hollar when you see the cheerleaders so you can take your picture with them!" Codey, 5 mins later, "Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad...cheerleaders right there. Hey cheerleaders, hey cheerleaders." (Kyndal was grubbing on cookies during the shoot.) Is it just me or do these cheerleaders look like they are 12 years old. I swear I just graduated from KU a few years ago...or was that 11 years ago...dang!

Once inside the game the kids were actively participating in the cheering, clapping, and waving the wheat at each touchdown! (Codey and Carson below.)

Kyndal's hero, Rylee helped her cheer on the Hawks!

Now she has the hang of it and can root 'em on. She is loving it!

Our good friends below, the McElroy's. We can always count on them to watch the Hawks with us...football and basketball.

The cutest little Jayhawk in training...

Looks like some serious Football buddies here. Codey just needs to stop yelling "Home Run" when they score a touchdown.

What a perfect day for a football game. We can picture many many more years of this shot...

Here we are only 2 years ago making our first family appearance at the KU game.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk, Go KU!
