GRAND Grand Lake

The finale to our CO summer trip was the best.  The four of us headed north of Winter Park to Grand Lake.  A new favorite destination for this family.  But then again, when you can see the water and the mountains in one blink of the eye....it just doesn't get better!

Our little cabin (which I neglected to photo) sat right on the beach which had a playground, beach toys and much to explore right out our door.

The little town of Grand Lake was divine.  Great food, unique and friendly people...all with a story.  I mean, how do you end up living here.  Tell me please!
The sassy one didn't want to smile (below) so Codey is assisting her!

Minus the cars, the perfect picture!

Love this pic.  We arrived on the day of a local parade.  Kyndal is plugging her ears.  JUST in case of any fireworks, car horns, loud noises!

They probably have the oldest make-shift mini golf spot, but it was so fun.  Neglected to get photos of the "unique-ness" of it.  Darn.

Super cute shops, super yummy ice cream shops.  (Think someone has to go potty?)

Clouds and rain came in the afternoons just to cool things off for nice CO evenings!

Leave it to Codey to make friends anywhere and immediately.  Sound like his dad?

Loved this old cabin on the water.  Kids playing off the dock.

My favorite thing about family vacation.  Your sibling is your BFF and your only friend.  You talk to each other, buddy up, gang up against your parents, imagine together, play games, invent.  I could sit and watch forever!

Troy and a little boat and a pole.  He doesn't need much more.  Not a very complicated man! (Well, not most of the time!)

Love this!  Kyndal wanted to go fish with Daddy.  Codey came running to get the camera from me.  K had to take a snooze.  And she looked so uncomfortable.

I couldn't get enough of the houses on this lake.  I would gladly accept ANY of them.  (Even the $999,999 one that was for sale which I didn't take a pic of which was tiny and lime green and the size of my garage!  Can't imagine the cost of the rest of these!) (House shots coming in next entry.)

Our morning exercise!
